Title Bullet About research - Psychological and social consequences of epilepsy - workshop 2008

The 2008 Epilepsy Research UK international expert workshop focused on the psychological and social consequences of having epilepsy, which can include conditions such as depression, irritability, anxiety, and memory problems.

Fifty invited participants from around the world discussed how these issues vary depending on the age and background of the person with epilepsy, what sort of epilepsy they have, and what treatment they are receiving. The workshop will also cover how best to treat psychological conditions associated with epilepsy, and how to design research studies into these conditions.

The proceedings of the workshop will be published in the journal Epilepsy & Behavior in early 2009. Contact us to order your copy.

A full write-up of this event will be published here soon!
