Join our team for the adidas Silverstone
Half Marathon 2011 and help change the future
for people with epilepsy.
Following the course of the famous Silverstone
race track, this flat race can be used as
a London Marathon warm-up or as a great
half marathon in its own right.
We have a limited number of guaranteed
places in this event, and will be allocating
on a first come first served basis. Please
email Jo
to apply. There is nothing to pay upfront,
all we ask is that you raise £250
in sponsorship from your entry.
If you have your own place in the event,
we would love you to join our team too.
There is no minimum sponsorship target for
own place runners. Just let me, Jo,
know once you have signed up and I'll get
a pack out to you.
NOTE: If you wish to register your interest
via our event
form, please ensure that you tick the

By running for Epilepsy Research UK, you
will be helping to fund ground-breaking
research in the UK that will help change
the future for people with epilepsy. Every
project we fund is rigorously assessed by
a panel of experts, to ensure it has the
potential to advance our understanding of
the condition and improvements in the treatment
of those with epilepsy.
There is no known cure for epilepsy
Over 30% of people with epilepsy have
seizures that do not respond to drug treatment
In over 60% of cases there is no known
cause
Every year 1,000 people die as a result
of epilepsy
You can help!
Every pound raised by you will increase
the amount of research we can fund.
We are here to support you every step of the way, and each runner will receive a fundraising pack full of ideas, sponsor forms and a personalised Epilepsy Research UK running vest for the race day. We also have fundraising materials available for all your needs, such as drinks mats, banner tape, balloons, pens, ribbon badges - you'll get a form to order what you need in your fundraising pack!
