Epilepsy affects over 450,000 people
in the UK alone.
Every day 75 people are diagnosed with
the condition in the UK.
Even with control of seizures, quality
of life for people with epilepsy can be
poor. However, new research offers the very
real possibility of developing therapies
that could transform the lives of those
affected.

Epilepsy Research UK is a national charity
at the forefront of these research developments.
We identify and fund promising research
at its earliest stages and our track record
in identifying innovative projects is excellent.
Over the past five years every pound
of our funding has led to a further two
pounds being allocated to epilepsy research
by organisations such as the Medical Research
Council.
And we have a growing number of supporters
dedicated to helping us defeat epilepsy.
