Title Bullet Challenge Events - Hadrian's Wall Trek

If you have ever wanted to do an exhilarating challenge for charity here is your chance. We are looking for adventurous volunteers to take part in a series of incredible open challenge expeditions that take in some of the world's most breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.

Hadrian's Wall was built in AD122 on the orders of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, and stretched from the East to West coasts of Britain, from Bowness on Solway in the West to Wallsend in the East.

Organised as an open challenge by Global Adventure Challenges, your 25 mile trek takes you from Chollerford to Gisland, encompassing some fascinating ruins. It is the most remarkable Roman monument in the country, and quite unique throughout the former Empire. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site - which cuts through Northumberland National Park, Hadrian's Wall attracts trekkers from all over, as it offers great challenging walks, filled with a stunning backdrop and history.

You can read the full itinerary here and book online.

By competing for Epilepsy Research UK you will be helping to fund ground-breaking research in the UK that will help change the future for people with epilepsy. Every project we fund is rigorously assessed by a panel of experts to ensure it has the potential to advance our understanding of the condition and improvements in the treatment of those with epilepsy.

  • There is no known cure for epilepsy
  • Over 30% of people with epilepsy have seizures that do not respond to drug treatment
  • In over 60% of cases there is no known cause
  • Every year 1,000 people die as a result of epilepsy

You can help! Every pound raised by you will increase the amount of research we can fund.

We are here to support you every step of the way, and each runner will receive a fundraising pack full of ideas, sponsor forms and a personalised Epilepsy Research UK running vest for the race day. We also have fundraising materials available for all your needs, such as drinks mats, banner tape, balloons, pens, ribbon badges - you'll get a form to order what you need in your fundraising pack!

Epilepsy Research UK has teamed up with virgin money giving and justgiving so that our runners, and others engaged in sponsorship events, can raise money easily online through their own personalised webpage. Family and friends can donate online by credit or debit card. These websites also automatically reclaims any Gift Aid due on our behalf.
