Title Bullet Challenge Events - Trek the Himalayas

If you have ever wanted to do an exhilarating challenge for charity here is your chance. We are looking for adventurous volunteers to take part in a series of incredible open challenge expeditions that take in some of the world's most breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.

Organised as an open challenge by Discover Adventure This stunning trek takes place in the Himalayan Annapurnas, home to some of the highest peaks in the world; the summit of Annapurna I rises to 8091m. As you trek among them, you will feel dwarfed by the sheer size and proximity of their snow-capped peaks.

Your challenge will take you from the frenetic, fascinating city of Kathmandu north to Pokhara and the start of the trek. You will pass through thick rhododendron forest and mountainside villages, perched up above picturesque rice terraces, providing a real glimpse of local life.

You continue up out of the tree line over 3000m, where awe-inspiring views of the great peaks and glaciers of the Himalayas await you, including the famous 'fish-tail' mountain of Machupucchare.

This will be a tough challenge, but one where your efforts reward you with some of the most magnificent mountain panoramas in the world!

You can read the full itinerary here and book online.

Every project we fund is rigorously assessed by a panel of experts to ensure it has the potential to advance our understanding of the condition and improvements in the treatment of those with epilepsy.

  • There is no known cure for epilepsy
  • Over 30% of people with epilepsy have seizures that do not respond to drug treatment
  • In over 60% of cases there is no known cause
  • Every year 1,000 people die as a result of epilepsy

You can help! Every pound raised by you will increase the amount of research we can fund.

We are here to support you every step of the way, and each runner will receive a fundraising pack full of ideas, sponsor forms and a personalised Epilepsy Research UK running vest for the race day. We also have fundraising materials available for all your needs, such as drinks mats, banner tape, balloons, pens, ribbon badges - you'll get a form to order what you need in your fundraising pack!
