Stephanie Schorge moved to the UK in 1999 after obtaining a PhD in Neuroscience at Brown University, USA. She joined the Department of Pharmacology at UCL as a post-doctoral associate researching the biophysics of ion channels. In 2005 she moved to the UCL Institute of Neurology where she shifted focus to exploring how mutations in ion channels are linked to epilepsy and is now Chair in Translational Neuroscience at the UCL School of Pharmacy. Stephanie’s research interests include gene therapy for neurological disorders and ion channels in development and treatment of disease.
